3 Top avoidable mistakes while buying Goods Lift


Goods Lift is considered a Long-term investment for your building or factory or warehouse or industry unit . So you must be looking to make this investment wisely . While you do not wish to pay more but you are concerned & afraid of risk of buying something which does not last long to recover full value through its life cycle of 10 -15 years .


1. Look for OEM 
Lifts are highly complex machinery of mechanical, electronics & Software . Look for OEM with at least 10 years ( Preferably 15 years ) of standing in Lift business . Need extensive experience & Design capability .Due to high demand , many fly by night operators & Hoist making company has entered in this Lift Business .It should not be difficult to understand that Lift manufacturing is totally different then Hoist/ Crane manufacturing.Beware of people with highly fancy looking web sites . It cost just 5k to 10k to make a web sites .



2. Focus on safety 
Most of accidents happen due to poor design & Installation. Ask to meet a specialist design engineer with at least 20 years in industry . Ask question about safety factors and IS codes .you may surprised to see most of them can not answer them confidently Check if your supplier have any Design software Its impossible to do proper manual calculation now  ( for example Digi para Lift designer )



3. Beware of people offering low prices 
While , its not wise to pay more, but its equally unwise to pay less.There are enough people in market who makes Lifts little worse & sell cheaper.With over 1000 parts & components ,its tedious process & need good experience to find where the compromise has been made. When you look at price only , the low cost supplier knows that he has found his prey . He shall just say yes mostly to your every question in order to close sale asap.
